Après ski is a hit in Sölden

No successful day skiing in the Ötztal valley would be complete without an après ski party. When it comes to finding the perfect spot, you and your friends have plenty of options. You can either choose to celebrate at one of the numerous huts on the mountainside or you can choose to join the party at one of Sölden’s many ‘umbrella’ bars. Fans of Micki Krause, DJ Ötzi and Co. know best: Changing clothes is taboo and dancing is at its best when surrounded by like-minded party animals.

But with so many choices in this Alpine hotspot, where does one begin? After all, there are as many so-called insiders’ tips as there are different tastes. Our tip: Give things a try and find out for yourself which location you and your friends like best. Select from cosy Alpine huts inside the ski resorts with panoramic views, or check out the nearest ‘umbrella’ bar next to the slope. Regardless of where you end your day skiing, there are endless possibilities to try out in Sölden: At the bottom of the Gaislachkogl slope, in Innerwald, near the Giggijoch or in the centre of town! No matter where you are, the next watering hole is never far. Thanks to the ski bus network, you’ll arrive comfortably back at your hotel or apartment. Enjoy a final nightcap in Innerwald and take the next shuttle bus into the city centre. Let the bus take you the final few hundred metres back into town from the ski resort into the valley.

After warming up with après ski, take time to regain your strength with a delicious meal, get dressed to impress, and head to Katapult to experience Sölden’s legendary nightlife hotspot. And don’t forget: “We are the party!”
